Similarly too, the two AVATARS, RAMA and KRISHNA were similarly prophesised in the ancient Indian culture in the Hindu tradition.
They were an eagerly awaited phenomenon.
Lord Krishna’s birth and life were filled replete with miracles.
This was meant to induce faith in his presence, so that later on the human world would receive the good teachings in good faith.
For, the teachings contained in the BHAGAVAD GITA, were imparted with DIVINE AUTHORITY, by Krishna the AVATAR.
This was the observation made by the listening audience, when they were hearing the sermons of Jesus too.
They said, with authority he conveys this message.
They were spell-bound by his teachings.
So was ARJUNA, when he was shown the VISHWA RUPA DARSHAN – The Cosmic form, during the course of Krishna’s teaching in the 11th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita.
At that moment, Arjuna realised that Krishna was GOD INCARNATE ON EARTH.
At that moment his attitude towards Krishna dramatically changed, from that of a friend to a Divine teacher.
Hence an AVATAR or a MESSIAH has a Divine origin.
It is a straight descent from God, and a direct ascent back to God.
